| The Zoological Society of London (ZSL) will assist in the development of regional or national level Red Lists using the IUCN Regional Red List Categories and Criteria. Red Lists help regions and countries to monitor the status of their biodiversity and to identify those species or ecosystems most in need of conservation attention. |
|
|
| ZSL can assist with the collection of relevant information, training specialists to apply the Regional IUCN Categories and Criteria, and building a biodiversity databank. In collaboration with local experts, ZSL then produces the regional or national Red List. Summary Conservation Action Plan can also be produced which provide detailed information on species of conservation concern and the actions and resources needed to improve their conservation status. |
